Hi every one i have been googling this question all i get is melt and pour formulas, The soap recipe i am working with has palm stearin ,coconut and olive oil doing it in a double boiler .. i'm not sure that at what stage should i add the fresh aloe vera gel should i mix it with the lye or at the end when i add the perfume , do i have to discount the water ratio and what about rancidity if i use aloe vera , Thank you all the way from pakistan

Answer:

You would discount the water by the amount of fresh aloe vera you are using. Add the gel once the soap reaches a thin trace. Then proceed with the hot process portion of the recipe as normal.

One more question on cp

Thank you Cathy really appreciate it it turned out to be a great bar of soap,i had a question on cold process i have made 3 batches of cp using 40% palm stearine - 30% palm kernal and 30% olive oil the bars after curing are not that gentle while using they feel rough :/

Answer:

Cold process soap that does not contain an exfoliant should not feel rough to your skin.

Did you put anything in it that could be causing this feeling? Spices when used to colour soap can give the soap an exfoliating effect.

I suggest making a plain batch of soap to see what that feels like. If that feels rough on your skin then there is something definitely wrong.
