Sw. Almond/Vit. E (80:20 blend)

Hi Cathy! I LOVE your site and have learned so much from you!! I noticed you use this Sw. Almond/Vit. E (80:20 blend) in your basic homeade recipe. I know Vitamin E is an antioxidant, but is the Sweet Almond oil portion just for a mild scent, or what is it's purpose? Also, do you blend this yourself or can you buy this already blended?

Answer:
The Sweet Almond oil/Vitamin E oil blend is an optional ingredient and just what I had on hand at the time. I actually no longer superfat my soaps that way but you can add any of your favorite oils in place of this one...or just skip it altogether.
