Moisturizers

Will adding lotion or moisturizers to soap decrease its cleaning effectiveness?

Answer:

I will assume you are refering to melt and pour soap making.

As far as I know, adding lotion to the soap base will decrease it's lathering abilities but I don't think it decreases its cleaning effectiveness.
