Lavender Buds in cold process soap making

Is there a technique to use that will prevent lavender buds from discoloring in cold process soap making? I've had them turn brown both mixed into the soap or sprinkled on top, but occasionally see photos of lovely soap with lavender that has kept it's lovely shade of blue/purple.
Answer:
Those photo's have been taken before the soap has had a chance to devour the lovely blue/purple colours. Even melt and pour soap will eventually leach the colour from the lavender.
Unfortunately, I do not know of anything that can stop this process from occurring.
