Double a soap recipe

I want to double my soap recipe to make 2kg's of soap. Can I capture on "Soap Calc" under the weight of oils column, 2000gram of oils and click on "calculate recipe".
Is this the correct method to do it or is there anything else that I should do?

Thank you Cathy!
Regards
Zene

Answer:

To increase or decrease the size of any recipe using SoapCalc, simply plug in the percentages of oils you are using, the water percentage, the superfat amount and the size of batch you want to make.

Then hit the 'calculate recipe' button and the recipe will be adjusted for you.

Hope that helps,
Cathy

If I want to make double the amount of soap, I just double all of the amounts in the recipe... this works fine, I've never had a problem.

If I just double the recipe, does the same apply for the lye? Can I also just double that as well?

Answer:

Yes, you need to double the lye as well.
