Didn't cover/insulate the soap right away

I was called away unavoidably right after I poured the soap into the molds. Consequently it was 1 and 1/2 hours before I was able to cover the molds with a sheet of saran wrap and a wooden cover and place under the blanket. What effect will this have on the soap?

Should it be alright?

Answer:

The soap may not go through the gel phase but that will not affect the usability of the soap. Many people prefer the soap to skip the gel phase.

It may also take a little longer for the soap to be firm enough to cut. For some reason gelled soap will harden up a bit faster than non gelled soap.

It may be a good idea to keep the soap in the mold for a day or two longer than you would normally.
