Dedicated equipment???

A friend said that I should have dedicated crockpot, stirring and measuring vessels that I use only for soap making. Is that necessary or can crock pot, etc be used in cooking afterwards as long as washed well?

Answer:

I've always used dedicated equipment when it comes to spoons, bowls, pots, etc but I have to admit that I've never had a dedicated crock pot!

I know that I should have one just for soap making and it's on my list of to do's. I suggest going to your local thrift shop to pick up most of the equipment.
