Column soap swirling

When doing soap swirling using the column method, do I cover the soap after and allow to gel? No one ever shows that part of their tutorials.

Answer:

The tutorials are only showing you the design stage of the soap making process.

You would follow regular soap making procedures for all other stages of the process. If you normally insulate your soap then you would need to do the same for the column soap swirling after the design stage is over.
