Whisk/stik blender

Condoleances! I wanted to ask if you ever tried cu mix de soap solution only with your whisk? I want to try to make soap for the first time and I wouldn't use my stik blender for it and I wouldn't buy a new one just now. Maybe if it will be a succes I will consider it! So, should the whisk be enough? I assume it will be a little more work and will need a lot more attention, but I want to know if it is possible! (I appologise for the eventual gramar/spelling mistakes; I haven't been using english in writing for a while now!)

Answer:

You certainly can use a whisk to make soap. In fact that is all I used for years and my soap bases traced wonderfully. It does take a little bit longer - my recipe used to take about 15 - 20 minutes of good whisking rather than 7 - 10 minutes. Soaps with mostly olive oil can take much longer to trace. Up to one hour I have found.

Good luck and happy soaping,
Cathy
