Weight of 1/2 bar liquid laundry soap

by Marjan Willett
(Ontario, Canada)

The recipe for liquid laudry soap calls for half a bar of laundry soap. What is the weight of this half bar? The instructions do not indicate the amount of bars it yields.

I really want to try this homemade liquid laundry soap.

Thanks, Marjan

Answer:

Typically a 1/2 bar of soap can weigh from 50 - 70 grams. Don't worry too much about it...as long as the 1/2 bar falls somewhat between those values it will be fine. It will just be more or less concentrated.

This is one recipe that does not have to have exact measures to work.

Good luck,
Cathy
