Using Extracts

Can I add food extracts like vanilla extract to my soap cold process? Because it has alcohol in it?

Answer:

Alcohol can react unusually in the soap making process and unfortunately, the vanilla extract scent doesn't come through in the final soaps.

Your best bet is to purchase fragrance or essential oils that are proven to work in the handmade soap making processes.
