Tops split

When I pour my soap into the box and cover to go through the gel phase, the tops of my soap develope a crack in them?
Answer:
Your soap is heating up too much during the insulation process.
Start by using less insulation and periodically check the soap to see if the gel phase has been reached. When is has, unwrap the soap and place a fan on it. This will cool the soap and help prevent overheating.
