Sweet Orange essential oil is pressed from the outer peel of the Citrus sinensis fruit (the orange), a tropical evergreen tree indigenous to Brazil.

Sweet Orange Essential Oil Properties

  • This oil is extremely effective as a grease cutter and is often used in handmade household cleaning formulas.
Sweet Orange
  • Has anti-septic, anti-inflammatory, anti-depressant, fungicidal and bactericidal properties.
  • Is thought to be beneficial for anxiety, dull and oily skin conditions, tension and stress.
  • Use with caution as it can cause sensitivity in some individuals.
  • Is a light orange color and smells like orange peels.
  • May colour soap slightly yellow in higher concentrations.
  • Blends nicely with all other citrus oils, florals, spices, lemongrass, bay, clary sage, eucalyptus, frankincense, juniper, marjoram, myrrh,  sandalwood, vetiver.
