Sweet Almond Oil

by Pelin

In your Bath & Body products recipes you have a recipe on how to make solid perfume. Do you have a specific carrier oil recommendation (e.g. apricot kernel, sweet almond or olive), as some oils like olive or sweet almond might have their own odors? Or would they just do fine?

Thanks,

Pelin

Answer:

You're right that some carrier oils have an odour of their own so you will want to take that into account when making your choice.

If you like the scent of the carrier oil with your essential or fragrance oils then by all means use it. It really is a matter of personal preference.

I would suggest an oil that absorbs well into the skin and doesn't leave a sticky residue. Check out the Soap Making Oils page for a long list of possible oils and links to their descriptions.
