Superfatting

What is superfating, is it an ingrident or what, does it have any difference if i set it to 0% or 5%, please explain to me

Answer:

Superfatting refers to the excess amount of oils left unsaponified in the final soap.

You need to have a bit of unsaponified oil in handmade soap for it to be gentle enough to use on your skin.

I would recommend always using 5% or more for your superfat.
