Soap Recipe - Sweet Citrus Honey

by Jay Clow

What can I replace the lard with in your recipe Sweet Citrus Honey? Do I have to ever use lard?
Thanks
Jay

Answer:

You don't ever have to use lard in soap making if you don't want to!!

There are quite a few different oils that can be used instead of lard in any recipe.

My Soap Making Oils page lists a number of choices. Just scroll down to the heading "Love That Creamy Lather" to see what options there are.

Be sure to run the recipe through a lye calculator to adjust the amount of lye needed before you make the soap.

Good luck,
Cathy
