Follow the instructions on The Process page and then follow the directions below to make this marbled soap recipe.
Melt the oils with the beeswax and then add the titanium dioxide. Blend well.
Combine your lye solution and oil mixture and stick blend until a thin trace is reached. Add the rosemary extract, sugar, silk and orris root. Blend again.
Divide your soap batter into four containers. One container each of white mica, cocoa powder, copper mica, and crimson mica (or colors of your choosing). Blend very well.
You will have to work quickly here because the mixture will start to set up. Put the white batter aside. Divide the essential oil blend between the three colored batters and mix.
Once all the colors are completely blended, add the white mix to the soap mold. Pouring from high up, drizzle each of the other colors one after the other. Try to distribute the colors evenly.
After all the soap has been added, use your spatula or other device to move the soap around. I usually use the spatula to push the soap in from each corner. I then may use my thermometer to swirl a little more. Get creative and see what different utensils will do.
