Soap lost it's colour.

I made cold process soap and removed half of it and colored it lavender, then layered it as I poured it. The next day when I removed it from wooden mold and cut it, it was so pretty and layered. By that night as it dried, it lost all its color and is now totally white. No purple color what so ever.

That is quite strange. What did you use to colour the soap with? Check to see if it is ok for use in CP soap making.
