Soap Curls

I saw your soap recipe that uses soap curls. Do the soap curls have to be made a day ahead so that it is soft enough to cut and curl and put into the soap mold?

Answer:

No...the soap curls can be made from most soap that is fairly fresh. As long as the soap is still soft enough to form curls without cracking, it will be fine. I use my Basic Homemade Soap Recipe because it is easily pliable when it is fresh.

Be aware that the outer edges of a soap block will be harder to curl since the edges dry out quickly. I usually don't use the first soap strip unless the soap is really fresh.
