Soap additives

by Jeff Zamek
(Southampton, MA USA)

I want to make soap using kaolin. What additive should I use to keep the soap intact and not fall apart? How much do I use?

thank you,

Jeff

Answer:

I'm not really following you with the part about the soap falling apart...Sorry.

Kaolin clay is available in a powder for soap making. It comes in various colours and is usually added to the soap making process at a light trace.

How much you use is up to you but it can be drying if used in too large of quantities.
