Shea Butter Question

If my soap recipe calls for shea butter - do I use refined or unrefined? Please advise.

Answer:

You can use either...it's up to you. I think the unrefined has a stronger smell and is a bit greyish in colour whereas the refined has a mild scent and is a pale cream in colour.
