How do I keep from getting that white film on top of cold processed soap?

Answer:

Powdery residue can be a nuisance.

There are a few options you can use that will help stop it.

1. Once the soap reaches a full gel, unwrap it and place a fan on the soap. This blows away the moisture that is evaporating from the soap and stops it from settling back down and drying.

2. Place a piece of platic film wrap on the newly poured soap before putting it to rest.

3. Spray rubbing alcohol on the newly poured soap before putting it to rest.
