Red Palm Oil

Red Palm oil, or African Palm oil is pressed from the fruit of the Elaeis Guineensis, palm tree. This soap making oil is good for healing dry & sun damaged skin.

A few of Red Palm Oil's qualities are as follows:

- rich in Vitamins A & E and anti-oxidants.

- is a deep red-orange semi-solid oil with a mild earthy scent.

- works very well as a yellow - orange soap colourant when used as part of the base oils.

- has moisturising and healing properties.

- is beneficial in Eczema, Dermatitis and Psoriasis products.

- has a shelf life of up to 18 months if stored in a cool, dry, dark location.

- produces a hard bar with a stable lather.

This oil is much the same as regular palm oil other than the vibrant color. Add a small percentage to the base oils or superfat at trace to naturally color the soap a warm yellow-orange shade.
