Real Rose Petals in glyceran soap

by melissa
(WA)

I have never made soap, but want to do the melt and pour glyceran soap. Would it work if I ground fresh real rose petals mixed them in the soap would they rot or mold and last from this summer to christmas as gifts?

Answer:

Cold process soap making is my specialty and I've only played around with melt and pour soap making a little bit but I would think that fresh rose petals will go moldy over time.

I suggest visiting the Soap Queen and Soapylove for more information about using melt and pour soaps.
