Question About Beer Soap

by Erin

Hello:

I recently made a beer soap using your recipe. The soap came out beautifully - the color and texture, so far, is perfect.

The soap is about 48 hours old and it still has a bit of a "raw" smell - similar to when I make milk soaps. I used a citrus blend to fragrance it. The citrus-y aroma is present but I still detect a faint "raw" aroma, too. Will this dissipate as the soap cures?

It is otherwise a lovely soap!

Thanks for your help!

Answer:

You're welcome Erin.

The yucky, chemically raw smell will definately disappear by the time the four week cure time is up! Thank goodness!!

Happy Soaping,
Cathy
