Preventing clumps in ultramarines and oxides

Just wondering what you do to remove the clumps in the ultramarines and oxides.

Thanks
Jacqueline

Answer:

To remove clumps in ultramarines and oxides, I mix them with some white mica and use the back of a very small spoon to 'squish' out the clumps. For some reason the mica seems to keep the mix powdery rather than clumpy.

A more common method is to use a small amount of oil instead of mica.

It is also a good idea when making the soap to add the colour before the scent....this gives you more time using the stick blender to completely blend the colour in.

Good luck,

Cathy

That is a wonderful idea Cathy! I have only used oxide once and mixed it into oil with okay results. I have just purchased my first white mica so I will definitely be doing that next time - thanks :)
