I've seen recipes with like 1 t. powdered sugar in it. What is the purpose of using the powdered sugar?
Answer:
Generally sugar is used to increase the lather of a soap recipe. I have used powdered sugar because it is easy to store and can be added at trace. Sugar will also speed up trace times and help to jumpstart the gel process.
