Soap Making Essentials

Plum Kernel Oil

Plums - rich in Vitamin A, E, oleic acid and anti-oxidents.

- has emollient properties that help moisturise damaged skin and maintain healthy cells.

- this oil has a golden color and a mild fruity/nut odor.

- it penetrates very well without leaving a greasy film on the skin.

- has a shelf life of up to 12 months if stored in a cool, dry, dark location.

- has a SAP value of 140-160; has 68% oleic and 23% linoleic fatty acids.

This oil is rather new to the soap making world and I've been unable to gather much information about it. From what I can gather, it is similar in nature to apricot kernel oil.
