New to soap making...

Hello,
I would like to try soap making for the first time. I love the idae of making soap for Christmas. What are the essential items I need to buy/have for trying it? What method should I use? Any other newbie type of information would be great! THanks!

I would suggest using the regular cold process method of soap making for the first few times. It's more detailed but gives you a better understanding of what the soap process should feel and look like.

As for other newbie type information...the whole website is geared towards teaching people how to make soap so you should find plenty of useful information.
