Making wood molds.

Hi what I'm looking for is a step by step for building a wood mold. I haven't been able to find one that is clear and decisive.

Could you help me? thank you.

Answer:

Crabapple Soapworks has soap mold plans on their site and they are free.

Building a basic soap mold is easy....first decide on what size of box you want and then cut two pieces of wood that are the same size for the length and two more that are the same size for the width. (1" x 4" lumber works very well)

Form a rectangle box with the 4 pieces and attach them together using wood glue and nails or screws.

Then cut a piece of wood large enough to fit the bottom of the box and attach it in the same manner.

Hope this helps,
Cathy
