All your recipes show lye in grams, ounces, etc. But does not mention status of the lye. Is the lye solid (100%)? 50% solution? or anything different? Thanks. --akin
Answer:
Lye (sodium hydroxide) for soap making comes in bead or flake form and is added to the water to create a lye solution.
