Lemongrass essential oil is steam distilled from the leaves of the Cymbopogon flexuosus, an aromatic perennial grass..

A few of Lemongrass Essential Oil's qualities are as follows:

- helpful for oily skin and useful as a skin toner.

- has astringent, anti-septic, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, anti-depressant, antiviral, fungicidal, deodorant, bactericidal and insecticidal properties.

- is beneficial for acne, athletes foot, persperation and headaches.

- often used in insect repellants.

- can cause sensitivity in some individuals.

- is a light yellow color and has a strong earthy lemon scent.

- blends nicely with basil, bergamot, black pepper, cedarwood, clary sage, fennel, geranium, ginger, grapefruit, lavender, lemon, marjoram, orange, palmarosa, patchouli, rosemary, tea tree, thyme, vetiver, and ylang ylang.
