Laundry Bar Soap

by Anonymous

What makes a bar soap a 'laundry' bar soap? I am looking for a recipe. I had purchased a bar that could be used as a stain stick or grated for use to make laundry detergent.

Answer:

Handmade body soap contains extra free oils in them so that the skin is moisturized while it is being cleaned.

Since the main purpose of a laundry soap is to clean away dirt, laundry soap bars do not contain the extra free oils in them that a body bar would.

Laundry soap bars also often contain more coconut oil in them because coconut oil has more cleansing power than most other oils.
