How to keep oils fresh at home?

I am new is soap making as hobby. I have noticed that some of the oils go bad during storage. Is this possible?

Answer:
Soap making oils are an organic substance so yes they can go bad.
Standard storage procedures include keeping the oils in cool, dark location. For varieties that have a short shelf life, storage in the refridgerator is advisable.
