How to identify a soap smell

by Bob
(Santa Barbara,ca.)

I found and have a bar of soap that I really enjoy.

How do I find out what the aroma is? I stoppped using the bar of soap and put it in a plastic bag.

Can anyone help me identify the smell/aroma? I can send a small sample to a qualified person.

Thank you.
Bob

Unknown bar of soap
by: Bob in SB.

The history of the used bar of soap is unknown, no one knows the origin, name or label. It is opaque off white / yellow in color. There have been a million guesses yet no one has gotten it right yet.
Last week june 7-14 I contacted a perfumer and they now have a sample and are going to work on my question.
I want to thank Cathy and soap making essentials for all their help and interest.--Bob

How To Identify A Soap Smell
by: Heavenly Scent Soaps

Hi:

I suppose you don't still have the soap wrapper/label with the sellers name??

If not, I would be willing to give it a go in trying to identify or replicate your fragrance.
