How many hours does it take for the soap to become hard

Today I made a homemade soap. And I don't know when it will become harder. So I can take it out of the molds?

Answer:

It mainly depends on what method of soap making you are using.

For cold process soap making, it is usual to leave the soap in the mold for a minimum of 24 hours. Even then, depending on the forumla you used, it can be soft for a few days after. The higher the percentage of soft oils, the longer it can take to harden.

For hot process soap making, basically just until the soap is completely cool and solid all the way through.
