How do I make whipped soap (that I can put in jars) from a Melt and Pour Base?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has every made a whipped soap from a melt and pour base? I tried mixing it with my hand blender, and it does whip up, but then hardens (which is fine if I put in a mold, but I wanted to make the whipped soap that you put in jars). If you have any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Answer:

Grace,

I've never heard of anyone making a soft soap from a melt and pour base before...sorry! I honestly don't know if it is possible.

I would recommend purchasing the foaming bath butter from new directions aromatics ....you can find the link here.

Good luck,
Cathy

the type of soap you are thinking of is not whipped soap. it is creamed soap. made the cold process way using both KOH and NaOH.
