i have a small quantity of shea butter (around 10 kgm) they have a bad smell . how can i remove this smell before using them in soAP MAKING

Answer:

Dear Farah,

Unfortunately, I am unfamiliar with the processes involved with deodorizing oils and butters.

Undeodorized shea butter should have a pleasant, mild nutty odor...it should not smell bad at all.

If your shea butter smells bad, I would imagine that it has gone rancid and is no longer suitable for soap making.

Smelley Shea butter

Shea butter which smells is the result of bad processing method in production. There is nothing to do other than covering the scent with a more intense scent
