Goats milk soap to carrier oils

by Anonymous

What is the ratio of goats milk soap base to carrier oils?

Answer:

I'm going to guess that you are using a melt and pour soap base and want to add some extra ingredients.

I believe there is room for a small amount of oils since it is made to handle the addition of scent and such. I would guess that it is no more than 3 - 5 percent of the weight of soap but I suggest you check out the manufactures instructions (either online or with the product) to see how much that particular brand will take.

Be aware that once you add extra oils to the base the lathering quality is diminished and the soap bar will be softer.

Good luck,
Cathy
