Foaming Bath Butter

I am going to try the foaming bath butter base from New Directions Aromatics. I was wondering if powdered milk could be added without causing spoilage?

I love the properties of goat's milk and I would like to add this to my recipe. I just wondered if you or anybody out there has tried adding milk or powdered milk to that kind of base?

PS...LOVE your site. So informative.

Answer:

You can definitely add milk powder and many other ingredients to the foaming bath butter! It's what makes the butter so fun to work with.

Due to the unstable nature of some ingredients like milk, you will need to add a broad spectum preservative to prevent spoilage.

I've added a link that gives a bit of info on a couple of choices but there are many more....most suppliers have a few to choose from.

Foaming Bath Butter Additives

I'd also like to add things to the Foaming Bath Butter and was wondering about percentages. I'd like to add coconut milk powder, shea butter, and the preservative and was hoping for a percentage for each.
