E.O. Percentages

Cathy,
I recently noted in one of your answers that you made soap using 20% Patchouli, 10% Cinnamon, 20% Rosewood, and 50% orange to make a scent blend. My question is; are the percentages in proportion to the fats only or are you also including the lye water. I'm relatively new to soap making, so please bear with me.

The essential oils aren't in proportion to the soap base at all. They are in proportion to each other.
