Colouring Soap and Lip Balms

by Rebecca

Which of the following are better for coloring soaps and which are better for adding just a hint of color to lip balms? Micas, Oxides or ultramarines?

Answer:

Rebecca,

I use all three to colour my soaps and I love them! I find mica, oxides and ultramarines to give my soaps such great colour and very rarely have a problem with them.

As for using them in lip balm....you will have to refer to the manfacturer of the colorants for that since some are lip safe and some are not.
