Coconut oil

(Philippines)
I can see that there are three kinds of coconut oils available, but in a tropical country like the Philippines, Im afraid that we only have one kind of coconut oil available and it's only available at liquid form.
Will this affect the formulas? How do you classify this coconut oil? is this 76degree? If a solid form of coconut oil is needed in the formula, can I still use our coconut oil? Will my soap harden?
Answer:You will need to find out what type of coconut oil you have. I suggest contacting the manufacturer.
Coconut Oil that is liquid at all times is probably fractionated coconut oil and has a different SAP value than Coconut Oil 76 degrees so you won't be able to just replace one with the other.
Unfortunately I haven't soaped with fractionated coconut oil so I can't really advise you on its use.
You could use SoapCalc to create a small test batch to see what happens...that's what I would do.
Good luck,
Cathy
