Chocolate in hot process soap

by Anonymous

When do you put the chocolate in a hot process soap for color and fragrance purposes?

Answer:

Add the chopped chocolate to the oils after the oils have melted and stir well while the chocolate melts.

The chocolate doesn't add much in the way of scent to the soap unfortunately but combined with cocoa powder, cocoa butter and a chocolate fragrance you will get a great bar of soap with a 'somewhat' chocolatey scent.

Chocolate is a hard scent to duplicate and I have yet to find a fragrance that captures the true essence of chocolate....the search continues!!!

Good luck,
Cathy
