Can I use the room temperature method for making soap of liquid oils only?

Hello

Thank you for your wonderful site.
I just started making cold process soaps and I only have one thermometer that I keep moving from lye to oils and oils to lye. It really is a bit stressful. I am focused on making olive oil soaps because it is an easily accessible and not very expensive oil in my country. One of the batches I did had 95% olive oil and 5% castor oil and it worked out just fine. Can I use the room temperature method to make this kind of soap?

Thank you

Answer:

As far as I know the room temperature method can be used just fine with an olive oil soap. Admittedly I haven't done it yet but I can't see any reason why it wouldn't.

Good luck,
Cathy
