Can I add just one of suggested additives?

I am new to soap making. I want to make a plain (basic) soap recipe and add just 1 or 2 EO's. Can I?

Answer:

You certainly can...the suggested additives are only there to show you what I used in my version of the soap but they are not essential to the success of the soap bar.
