Can avocado oil be used in melt and pour soap? Thanx, Tracy

Answer:

Melt and pour soap is made so that it can withstand having a small amount of extra ingredients added to it.

Be very careful with how much you add. Whatever you add will reduce the lathering capabilities of the melt and pour soap base. If you add just a bit, the soap should be fine. If you add lots of liquids to the soap, you will find the soap very soft and the lathering will be minimal. Remember that the essential and fragrance oils are also extra ingredients.
