Aloe juice vs Water

I was wondering if you have tried aloe juice in place of water using the room temperature soap making method?

I have recipes for cold process with aloe but not room temperature and didn't know if it could be done.

If so, are there any changes that need to be done.

Thanks for your help
Bridget

Answer:

I've not replaced water with aloe juice using the room temperature method of soap making but I don't see why you couldn't.

No matter what liquid you use, the lye will heat it up and it's that heat you need to melt the hard oils for room temperature soap making.

Another option would be to reduce the amount of water you use with the lye and add the remainder as aloe juice in with the soft oils after the hard oils have melted.

Good luck,
Cathy

I have done this and it works well and adds something special to the soap.
